I had the honor of becoming a contributor for the outstanding NotesIn9 Video Podcast produced by David Leedy. In this show, I demonstrate how I built and Amazon Alexa Skill for the IBM Domino based IdeaJam app. If you have any questions, please let me know. I would be more than happy to answer them! Thank you, David, for having me on. More videos on building Alexa Skills coming soon.
Just in case you missed the LDC Via webinar earlier this week on how to liberate your IBM Lotus Notes and Domino data, you can watch it right here, right now.
Without completing a migration successfully, you can be left with an expensive-to-own infrastructure that delivers limited value, where the necessary skills to maintain and enhance it are increasingly hard to come by.
LDC Via completes the migration picture by providing an ideal new home for data and applications previously on Domino.
The time is now to really consider the future of your Notes and Domino data and applicaitons.
A few months back FoCul Ltd. launched a wiki to collect all things related to source control for IBM Notes, Domino and XPages application development:
Source Control has many many advantages for both developers and organisations but it is a complex subject. At FoCul we have been running a project to adopt Source Control on our XPage projects. There is not much documentation about Source Control with DDE and getting this far has been both a difficult and rewarding process.
We don’t have all of the answers and we are still very much learning how it all works. We wanted to share what we have learned and also create a forum where others could share their knowledge so that the ICS community could maybe develop some best practices in this important area.
