My slide decks from AdminDev2012

Last week I traveled to Washington, DC to participate in the AdminDev2012 conference being sponsored by The View. In addition to delivering two sessions on XPages, I was also part of a keynote panel of “IBM Champions”. All in all the conference was an excellent opportunity to interact with IBM ICS customers. I also had the opportunity to sit in on some great sessions being delivered by the other speakers.

The conference was also a blast from the past as there were several people who stopped by the conference to participate in the Washington, DC Lotus User Group. It was great to see Kevin Pettitt, Jack Dausman, David Gursky, Chris Byrne and many others.

Podcast: Mobile AppDev Strategies with Graham Acres

On this episode of Taking Notes Julian Robichaux and I talked with Graham Acres, of Brytek Systems, an IBM BP in Canada, about how to develop a strategy around mobilizing your applications in the enterprise.

Graham discussed mobile strategies in general as well as his own personal experiences, including:

Lotusphere through the eyes of Instagram

As I mentioned in my last blog entry I will be using the iOS Instagram app to capture photos throughout Lotusphere 2012. If you are an Instagram user you can connect with me using the screen name “belgort”. For those of you not attending Lotusphere who want to see a collection of all Instagram photos tagged with #ls12 you can go to http://elguji.com/instagram.nsf/ls.xsp to see the latest 20 photos being captured. The page auto-updates the photos every 60 seconds.

Three bullet points to market XPages: What would your three be?

For those of us who have used IBM XPages we know what the platform can do and what it can’t do for that matter. What I would like to hear from you are three bullet points that you would include in a presentation, product slick or other marketing collateral to describe to those outside of the world of IBM, what XPages coupled with the Domino server are and what they can be used to develop.

What are your three bullets?

UPDATE:

Try and not refer to the Notes client, email, calendaring etc. Think new developers who are looking for an app dev platform for social, mobile, enterprise.
