Out of curiosity, do you know how Watson Translation Services compares to Google Translate?
What took my attention was the translation of “hot sauce” into french:
Watson: sauce chaude (which actually means “warm sauce”)
Google: sauce piquante
Ouch. So IBM’s Watson isn’t quite as good as Google’s translation 😦
well, let’s say there is room for improvement 🙂 If Watson is self learning, thinks like this should be easy for him to correct.. language translations are far from logic, and this is where a self learning system can benefit.. will do some tests with using Watson in my applications in the near future and look forward to it..
