Good video Bruce, it’s an interesting area. I am often a bit dubious about the Amazon costs but the examples for Dynamo DB looked very good.
I found this article ( http://blog.blitz.io/2012/10/how-we-use-dynamodb-and-what-weve-learned-along-the-way/ ) which was pretty interesting in terms of how users are working around some of the limitations including a 64K limit ( remind you of anything ?)
I also ordered this book which talks about how to use Dynamo with Android. http://blitz.io/dashboard
and this article ( linked from the one above ) is fascinating – http://s3nosql.com/
Not sure it is a recommended scheme but the writer is certainly enthusiastic about it.
